Rosie – Premium Class 1  Connemara Mare

We are thrilled to celebrate an exceptional achievement for our beautiful 4-year-old mare, Rosie (born 2022)! At the official 2026 Sommarpremiering breed inspections in Falkenberg, Sweden, Rosie proved herself to be a true elite representative of the Connemara pony breed.

Evaluated by the national judges of the Svenska Hästavelsförbundet (SH), Rosie put on a breathtaking performance under the summer sun. Showing immense physical development, maturity, and maternal grace, she was officially awarded a fantastic score of 38 points, elevating her status straight to the prestigious M1 (Stamboksförd Klass 1) register—the highest individual exterior rating achievable for a Connemara mare in Sweden.

The official judges’ report highlighted her outstanding breed type and fluid movement:

• Type (8): "Rastypisk, något kvadratisk." (True to type, beautifully balanced and square).
• Head, Neck & Body (7): Featuring a noble, refined head, a well-defined wither, and an overall harmonious depth.
• Legs (7): Possessing correct, clean, and sound conformation.
• Walk (8): "Avspänd, ledig." (Highly relaxed, fluent, and spacious—a massive highlight of her evaluation!).
• Trot (8): "Taktmässig." (Perfectly rhythmic and powerful).

What makes this milestone even more historic for MT Sporthorses & Rosbuds Stuteri is that Rosie’s very first foal, our home-bred filly Rosbuds Willow (by Class 1 stallion Axwell), also achieved a rare Klass 1 premium rating with 38 points on the exact same day!

With her newly minted M1 Class 1 status, Rosie stands as a pinnacle of our breeding philosophy: combining centuries-old Irish bloodlines with impeccable conformation, flawless movement, and a golden character. Her future as an elite sports- and broodmare is incredibly bright!
